What Metalyde is, who it is for, and where it stands today.
The Marketing Agency OS
Metalyde is the operating layer for how marketing agencies run their business.
Not a project management tool. Not a CRM. Not a PSA retrofitted with agency templates. A purpose-built vertical OS that spans every surface an agency operates on — from the moment a brief comes in to the moment an invoice goes out.
The category exists. No one has claimed it at the agency layer. That is the bet.
Who it is for
Metalyde is built for the operator running a 2-10 person agency doing $50K–$500K in client revenue.
That person writes briefs, reviews deliverables, chases approvals, invoices clients, and monitors margins — often in the same afternoon. They are not looking for another tool that needs a 90-minute onboarding. They are looking for something that already knows how an agency works.
The problem
The cost of fragmented operations is documented and specific:
- $1,000–$5,000 lost per month to scope creep that never gets billed (57% of agencies).
- $32,000 lost per year on average to untracked time.
- 4–6 hours per week spent bridging two disconnected tools.
- ~60% utilization against a healthy target of 65–80%.
These are not inefficiency metrics. They are revenue leaving the business every month.
What Metalyde does
Metalyde covers the six operating surfaces an agency runs on:
| Surface | What it means in practice |
|---|---|
| Briefs | Structured intake that locks scope before work starts. |
| Delivery | Track what is in flight, who owns it, and what is blocked. |
| Billing | Surface unbilled scope and time before it disappears. |
| Reporting | Profitability first — margins per account, not vanity metrics. |
| AI execution | Agents that do the operational work, not just suggest it. |
| Multi-tenancy | One platform, isolated per agency — secure by default. |
Status
Metalyde is a proof-of-concept.
The positioning, design system, and multi-tenant infrastructure are production-grade and live. The product features and dashboards are what comes next.
What is already done: category framing, brand voice, design tokens, auth, multi-tenant data isolation (Postgres RLS), CI/CD pipeline, and the full monorepo stack. What is being built: the operating surfaces above.
Brand and positioning deliverables
The positioning track produced five living artifacts — category bets, persona research, messaging framework, visual directions, and a landing concept.
They live at Brand & Positioning Artifacts.
